Hi

So now that I am totally rested thought I would see how these journals work. I am Tandy, new student that arrived last night. Thought I would say hi so if they see a new blonde walking around they would know who it is and not some kelpto.

No, seriously. You have different eyebrows, one of you has a slightly broader nose and one of you has a slightly broader one. Then there's your lips and cheekbones.

...wait, this could be a powers thing. Can other people tell you apart easily?

[identity profile] x-preview.livejournal.com 2012-06-16 11:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Not at all.

Are you like, super good at details?

[identity profile] x-artie.livejournal.com 2012-06-16 11:16 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm very, very good at details. Side effect of the awesome hologram powers is that I can basically work as a human camer, scanner and walking facial recognition system. Did you know your right eyebrow is like a millimetre higher than Sarah's?

[identity profile] x-preview.livejournal.com 2012-06-16 11:19 pm (UTC)(link)
How the hell would I know!? That's your power, not mine.

[identity profile] x-artie.livejournal.com 2012-06-16 11:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Because you can see your future right, so you saw me telling you this. Duh.

[identity profile] x-preview.livejournal.com 2012-06-16 11:20 pm (UTC)(link)
It would be so many levels of screwed up if I was always seeing my future.

[identity profile] x-artie.livejournal.com 2012-06-16 11:23 pm (UTC)(link)
So, it's a so,stiles things? Cool.

[identity profile] x-preview.livejournal.com 2012-06-16 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)
It comes and goes. And it's cool when it's actually not happening, I guess.

[identity profile] x-artie.livejournal.com 2012-06-16 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
And when it is happening?

[identity profile] x-preview.livejournal.com 2012-06-16 11:28 pm (UTC)(link)
When it's happening I'm catatonic, so yeah. You know, an empty shell.

[identity profile] x-artie.livejournal.com 2012-06-16 11:32 pm (UTC)(link)
So, basically, be really goddamn careful when you cross a road and don't drive, just in case of fiery death?

[identity profile] x-preview.livejournal.com 2012-06-17 12:56 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, can't drive. How much does that suck right?

[identity profile] x-tarot.livejournal.com 2012-06-17 07:15 am (UTC)(link)
Artie, is this new that you can do this for faces or have I managed to miss this in our conversations?

[identity profile] x-artie.livejournal.com 2012-06-17 07:30 am (UTC)(link)
I don't look at allegedly identical twins much. So I didn't really think about it.

But it's really the same as looking at two of your pictures side by side and pointing out the differences. You just have to really look at them.

Omgosh. You remember that Jake guy? Liked cake, and was like, a woman or something when I was little? IDK about the details there. It was weird and I was tiny (maybe you can fill me in sometime). But he was a shapeshifter and I wonder if I'd be able to tell if was him, if he was you know, wearing a person I knew. Could he get it that exact? Or Vanessa. How close does she come? Could I tell?

Fuck, my powers are so awesome sometimes.

... whatever happened to Jake, anyway?

[identity profile] x-tarot.livejournal.com 2012-06-17 07:33 am (UTC)(link)
... I believe you and I and a gentleman I know who does some very interesting 'reprints' of famous art pieces (he and I went on a date once but then he, ah, went away for 25 months and really the relationship would never have worked out) are going to have some quality time very soon.

Jake, ah, is in Europe being Jake.

Vanessa copies people on the genetic level, so I presume she would be identical, but perhaps it may be interesting to have her copy someone so that you can see if there are subtle differences.

[identity profile] x-artie.livejournal.com 2012-06-17 07:41 am (UTC)(link)
I heard that all money is in making pictures that look like legitimate unknown paintings with provenance by real artists not actually in passing off copies of actual paintings. Should I be ask about that or not?

... I won't ask, because it's probably a sensitive topic after his holiday.

And, okay, cool. Playing spot the differences with your dodgy friends.

[identity profile] x-tarot.livejournal.com 2012-06-17 07:43 am (UTC)(link)
You should only ask about that if you are prepared for a fifty minute lecture on mimicking brushstrokes and on aging paint and canvas and only if you are prepared to take notes.

Actually, on second thought, just bring a note pad.

[identity profile] x-artie.livejournal.com 2012-06-17 07:45 am (UTC)(link)
I can do that.

[identity profile] x-copycat.livejournal.com 2012-06-17 07:55 am (UTC)(link)
I am easily coerced into cooperating for such experiments. Give me DNA of your choice or I can probably procure pictures for two of my usual go-to mimics. Though, you can also try to shoot holes in my mutation's auto function if you want. I assume it's just shifting pigmentation on its own but you'd be better at figuring that out than I would.

Doug can ID me regardless of what mimic I wear due to small ticks of body movement and the such. I wonder if your attention to detail would allow you the same.

[identity profile] x-artie.livejournal.com 2012-06-17 08:08 am (UTC)(link)
That would be awesome.

I'd like to see how Doug does that. And IDK, it's harder to find the differences when people are moving.

[identity profile] x-copycat.livejournal.com 2012-06-17 04:38 pm (UTC)(link)
All the more reason for the challenge. If you could really ID someone even while shifted into another form it would be far more useful to be able to do it in real time rather than taking a picture and comparing.

Just let me know whenever you want to start your experiment.
