I want to try something a little different this year in regards to volunteering. So I've partnered with my Uncle Mike to start a giving tree. I've a few names of mutant children and what they would like for Christmas on a small Christmas tree outside Molly and I suite. (I know a little early for a tree, but since it is for a good cause).

If you do decide to participate, please wrap the gift and tape the name card on the present and put it in the bin next to the tree. I'll be making trips to drop off the gifts to the church.

Also, if you have any clothes that you no longer need and are looking to donate, we are still accepting those as well.


And of course, volunteering at both soup kitchen and the food pantry are both welcome to all. I am happy to report the food pantry is doing well and really has kicked off this year since its opening late last year. It has fed hundreds of families already.

Oh, I've got plenty of clothes to give. This is the excuse I needed to clear out my closet, frankly.

Same! I also have some tops designed for wings that I need to give away.

That would be a life saver to some who have wings and cannot find the right shirts. They will be grateful for sure

I really need to get rid of some craft stuff too. I could donate items to, or maybe host, a holiday craft party.

I help where I can. Luckily the Sisters are pretty diligent on sorting once they get things in. They do not say no to help though.

Any sort of organized group effort happening around volunteering? Christmas isn't my holiday but I like the spirit of it.

Always. Uncle Mike is the priest in District X. He converted the basement of his church into a shelter/food kitchen. Always need help with that. Also the food bank in District X needs help sorting the vegetables we are getting in.

If you like, we are also getting a 'Santa' and we need help setting up the space.

There is no shortage of needing help.
